"America's Next Top Model" has been resurrected by VH1 after The CW cancelled the series after 22 seasons and singer and actress Rita Ora was tapped to be the host.
Although famous for her music, Ora has appeared in reality television competitions. She was a judge in other popular shows such as "The Voice" and even "The X Factor." Now, she is set to take on some hosting duties.
The British singer recently spoke to USA Today about what she wants to be like as a host and a judge in "America's Next Top Model."
"The approach I wanted to have as a host and judge to the girls is what my career stands for at this moment in time, which is being a businesswoman and being able to do multiple things at the same time, whether it's music or shooting (magazine covers) and being in movies and designing clothes," Ora said.
Along with Ora, a new panel of judges was also introduced. The lineup now includes supermodel Ashley Graham, Paper Magazine chief executive officer Drew Elliot and celebrity stylist Law Roach.
Meanwhile, former "America's Next Top Model" host Tyra Banks will executive produce the series along with Ken Mok, who was also EP of the reality competition when it was on The CW.
Although Banks has a new role, VH1 promises that she will "continue to make surprise appearances because every up and coming model needs a little Tyra-mail in their life."
Banks also talked to USA Today about the return of "America's Next Top Model" to the small screen after being cancelled October last year, which was three months after the season 22 finale.
"My goal is to really get into these girls' heads that I'm not looking for some successful model and I'm not looking for some social-media star. I'm looking for both. I'm looking for a hybrid, because that's where the world is," Banks said.
"America's Next Top Model" with Ora premieres this fall on VH1.
