Game developers have the taxing yet extremely important job of ensuring video games live up to their full potential through techniques in imagery and graphics. The team behind 'Agents of Mayhem' is well-renowned in this field and will be tasked to share knowledge to other aspiring developers.

As per the official website, the Game Developers Conference is going to be the biggest gathering of game industry professionals across the globe, and it will be held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California from Feb. 27 to March 3, 2017.

Principal artist for Deep Silver Volition James Taylor will be talking about how to create a stylized game using physically-based rendering (PBR) techniques.

In Taylor's talk dubbed "'Agents of Mayhem:' Physically-Based Materials in a Stylized Open World," he will be explaining how to use physically based methods while combining it with artistic illustrations for a unique rendering in gameplay. It is said that the discussion will revolve around texture and color when creating the gaming environment as well as the characters.

The expected outcome is that each participant will get a takeaway on how to use the mentioned technique simply as a baseline and not a hindrance on what developers can do artistically in enhancing the images. This will give delegates more freedom on how they go about with creating the games they choose to make.

"Agents of Mayhem," despite not being out in the market yet, has already created a reputation for itself with Volition's work on "Saint's Row." This puts both pride and pressure on the development of the said game.

The game is set in a time where worldwide chaos abounds, and there is a new world order, headed by an organization known as Legion. Persephone Brimstone acts as the leader of the agents of Mayhem to bring an end to this terror by any means necessary.

No word has been made yet, but fans can expect the game to be out some time in 2017.
