The upcoming 2016 Honda Civic has been spotted and images of the new sedan model were uploaded on CivicX, an online community for Honda Civic enthusiasts.

As reported by Forbes, the new car was parked along the street in Ann Arbor, Mich. and a member of the online community was quick enough to take some snapshots, spoiling all the fun for Honda's upcoming car launch tomorrow, Sept. 16.

From what can be seen from the leaked photos, the new 2016 Honda Civic is a more improved version of its predecessors.

According to the report from Forbes, the design is described to be a mix of the current Civic model with Honda's fashionable Acura model, and a bit of Nissan Maxima.

The online community CivicX also described that the four-door car has boomerang-inspired taillights and greenhouse styling.

It was also noted that the sedan is believed to be a touring model since its headlights were full LED.

Apart from this, the car's exhaust can be found in the middle and not positioned on one side. The accents seen on the sides of the sedan were part of the car concept that was adopted by the production model.

The leak may be big news for Honda fans but Forbes reported that the current market does not favor the new Civic since most customers prefer to go for pickup trucks and crossover cars than conventional sedan.

The upcoming 2016 Honda Civic has yet to arrive in showrooms, but reports state that it will carry the turbocharged engines — a first for the Civic line.

The 10th generation Honda Civic will be joined by Honda's other vehicles, the Coupe and 2016 Civic hatchback models.

It is also expected that the company will introduce Civic Type-R, its new performance vehicle.

Honda's car launch event will be held on Sept. 16 at 6:15 p.m. PST at the YouTube Space in Los Angeles, Tech Times reported.
