The Honda Civic lineup once dominated the car industry for being an efficient and affordable compact car. But the same thing cannot be said for the last ten years.

Despite Civic's good sales, it slipped from its position as a front-runner.

However, that might change with the arrival of the 10th generation Honda Civic, which will reportedly catch the attention of customers with its latest style and engineering.

The 2016 Honda Civic has finally accomplished its mission of incorporating the most ambitious and wide-ranging changes to the Civic.

AutoGuide was able to take the car up for a test drive and attested that the company did not fail to achieve the mission.

The 2016 Honda Civic underwent some major changes and upgrades, notable with its interiors and the type of materials used in the previous generation.

The new generation sports a longer and wider car that also has a lower roofline.

According to the review, the exterior resembles that of the new Accord model and offers a new tail design that improves the vehicle's aerodynamics.

Under the hood, the 10th generation Honda Civic is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and a six-speed auto transmission producing 174 horsepower.

A 2.0-liter four engine will also be offered and this variant packs up 158 horsepower.

One major update that the new Honda Civic has is its large headroom. In the previous model, the small headroom is a drawback for the vehicle, but that's not the case for the 2016 Civic.

With 2016 Honda Civic's arrival, it is believed to become a rival of Audi A3, Volkswagen Golf, and Toyota Corolla, NSEAVoice noted.

The 10th generation Honda Civic is schedule to arrive to dealerships this month and will have a starting price of $19,475.

Production for the latest model has already started, according to a report from NSEAVoice, at a manufacturing plant in Indiana.
