The lack of information about the official premiere date for "2 Broke Girls" season 5 keeps fans on tenterhooks about the return of the hit comedy show. But what's keeping them more hyped is the fact that the series will hit its glorious 100th episode milestone within this forthcoming season.
The series aired four seasons, with 22 episodes each. In the upcoming season, lead stars Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs and the rest of the cast and crew celebrate this landmark. But as far as the plot is concerned, what is in store for Max Black and Caroline Channing?
According to reports, the duo won't be so broke anymore in "2 Broke Girls" season 5. For the past seasons, riches have been so elusive for the penniless best of friends but their situation could see a complete 360 in the upcoming season.
There are only a few concrete details elaborating on this big change and they come from the stars themselves. In an interview with CBS New York, Dennings hinted that Max and Caroline will "come in to some money" in the new season but she emphasized that she isn't sure about that yet.
"We'll see about the money, we don't know what's going to happen, but we're going to get something, which is more than nothing," she went on to say. With a laugh, Behrs chimed in "Which is better than what they have now."
While they could be going big time in "2 Broke Girls" season 2, it looks like Max will get extra as she might be rich with romance too when the show returns. In the same interview, Dennings hinted that her character will get a love interest. Unfortunately, she did not say anything more about this.
"2 Broke Girls" season 5 has no release date locked in yet. The last time fans saw Max and Caroline was in May. Behrs has hinted via Twitter that the premiere episode will be called "And the Wrecking Ball."
