More and more Android Wear watches are entering the market. Technology has even made these watches cellular-enabled, which makes it a convenient and helpful device for its users. However, not all of these come cheap. Now, the most affordable option of them all, which is the ZTE Quartz, is now available for purchase in the U.S. through T-Mobile.

As per TechRadar's verdict, the ZTE Quartz offers great value for its price and is a good entry-level smartwatch. For under $200, people can get their hands on ZTE's newest Android 2.0 powered smartwatch with a 1.4-inch circular AMOLED display, a 500 mAh battery, the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 chip, and even a 3G cellular service. This means users no longer need to have their mobile phones nearby to send a text message or make a call. Since the watch is on the T-Mobile network, anyone can stay virtually connected anywhere, and even access location services with its built-in GPS.

Android Wear 2.0 also comes with access to Google Assistant. According to The Verge, ZTE thinks that people will be more encouraged to purchase a smartwatch if it has this particular feature.

According to the official specifications posted on ZTE USA's product page, the ZTE Quartz is IP67 certified, which means it is water and dust resistant. It also sports 768 MB of random access memory (RAM), 4 GB of read-only memory (ROM) and has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.

However, despite the impressive specs for such a low-priced smartwatch, some reviewers seem to think that its size is too big and does not come with a flat tire on its rounded display. The display is also quite dim, and there are only two color options for its replaceable band, which are black and blue.

As of the time being, the smartwatch is a T-Mobile exclusive. However, ZTE has stated that it will eventually partner with other carriers in the future.

The ZTE Quartz, which is priced at $192, was released online on April 14 and will be made available for purchase in select stores in the U.S. on April 21. There has yet to be a word from the company if they are planning to release the product internationally.
