Jackson Oz (James Wolk) and his team will be tapped to unlock the mystery of why animals are behaving strangely around the world in the upcoming episode of CBS's new drama series "Zoo."

In "Pack Mentality," a top intelligence agent will approach the zoologist to investigate the peculiar phenomenon. Oz, together with partner Abraham (Nonso Anozie), journalist Jamie (Kristen Connolly), veterinary pathologist Mitch (Billy Burke), and French intelligence analyst Chloe (Nora Arnezeder) will start their search in Mississippi, where they will probe into the prison wolf attack. TV Guide reports that they will meet an FBI agent who may know more than what he is saying.

Meanwhile, TV News & Views reveals that animals continue to cause havoc to the human population. The promo shows a bear about to attack a woman in her home and a crow hungrily watching a baby while her mother lies dead in the park.

Last episode began in Slovenia, with Chloe being recruited by Gaspard Alves (Henri Lubatti) to look into the strange happenings in the animal kingdom. Meanwhile, Oz and Abe flew to Japan to recover the rest of Robert's (Ken Olin) research. There they met Oz's father's second wife, Minako (Tamlyn Tomita), who told them Robert was in the brink of unlocking the mystery when he died. On their way to the secret site where the professor did his experiment, a flock of bats flying during the day caused their plane to malfunction, then crash. Although they tried to revive Minako, she died.

In Los Angeles, Jamie convinced Mitch that they had enough evidence against Reiden Global. They went to meet Senator Vaughn (Richard Holden) in Louisiana, only to be told that the biotechnology company was just too powerful an enemy to fight. Frustrated, they went into a bar and that was where Gaspard approached them with an offer to join his team.

Meanwhile, Oz and Abe decided to locate Robert's hut. They found horses with their eyes gouged out and a film recorded by his father. They also got all this papers, but everything was in codes. They were then rescued by a helicopter, which turned out to be Gaspar's. They were brought in a conference room where Jamie and Mitch were waiting.

A man named Delavane (Carl Lumbly) then came in and informed them that they were all there because Robert Oz's prediction about the pandemic had begun. He then introduced Chloe and said she would be in charge of the group as they figure out what was going on in the world, before it became too late.

Meanwhile, a death row inmate escaped from a Mississippi prison after a vicious wolf invasion set it ablaze.

"Zoo" airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
