Zac Efron news: After almost two years, relationship with Sami Miró is over

Actor Zac Efron and his girlfriend Sami Miró have decided to go their separate ways after almost two years of dating. Fans of Efron noticed the telltale signs before the issue was reported in the news.

During the weekend, the "Baywatch" actor started doing some things on his Twitter and Instagram accounts. According to Elle, fans noticed that the actor had deleted images that had anything to do with Miró, as well as unfollowed the model on Twitter.

ETOnline added that the model has not done anything yet with her social media account. Images with her former boyfriend are still viewable, and the last one was on April 9 when the former couple attended the MTV Movie Awards, and Miró was piggybacking on Efron.

A source close to the couple stated that Efron was the one who decided to end the almost 2-year old relationship, that "the spark had died," and "did not have the same feelings for each other as they did when they first started dating," as E! News reported.

"It wasn't an easy breakup. Distance and work schedules got in the way with their relationship and Zac wanted to focus on his career," the insider added, according to the report.

Additionally, the actor is said to be hoping that they remain friends.

The couple's relationship went public back in October 2014. They were together on a trip to Copenhagen, and from then on have shared images that highlighted their affection for one another for their fans. Other than that, the couple has been very private about their relationship.

Elle interviewed Miró back in 2015 and the model/enterpreneur said that having a famous boyfriend like Efron has its limitations. She could't post anything that includes him, saying, "If I was dating someone who wasn't in the limelight, I might have more photos on [Instagram] of our relationship."
