A new sports-themed anime series is currently making noise among anime buffs as of late as it heads towards its ninth episode. "Yuri on Ice" may be just over a month old but it has already gained a substantial following. It is said that the upcoming episode will be quite intense as the protagonist, Yuri Katsuki, is now pressured to do better in his performance in order to make the cut in the competition that he's in.

Reports are suggesting that the succeeding scenes of the fairly new anime will feature Yuri without the guidance of his mentor, the Russian Viktor Nikiforov. It is said that the coach will be attending to his pet dog Makkachin after the canine took in more food than what it could actually take. That being said, Viktor hands over coaching duties to the dead serious Yakov Feltsman.

Yuri's situation will then turn from bad to worse as it is was noted that he is quite uneasy working with Yakov but the current situation doesn't leave him with much of a choice. It was also said that the protagonist will be pushed to strive harder in the next round of competition as it requires him to land in fourth place at the minimum to be included in the roster of qualifiers.

Luckily, it is presumed that Viktor's pet will feel better later on and that would prompt the coach to fly back to the competition to see his student perform. Yuri, on the other hand, will be gaining a second wind upon seeing his coach watching him as well the rest of the crowd. Moreover, it is also believed that Yuri will be making the cut as Viktor quickly rushes towards him to give him a congratulatory hug.

Fans should look forward to the latest news and updates about "Yuri on Ice." Episode 9 is slated to arrive on Nov. 30.
