Xiaomi Redmi Note Xiaomi

Leaked image and details on Xiaomi's upcoming Redmi Note 2 circulated online way before the target launch date.

The latest rumor on the upcoming device from the Chinese brand is that it will be available in the United States for an equivalent price of $177, as reported in PhoneArena.

This price is contrary to the recently leaked detail from MyDrivers, which stated that the device will be selling at an equivalent price of $128.

Xiaomi's Redmi Note 2 has already passed through China certification authority TENAA; and it was reported that the phone will be available in two handset versions.

One model will carry a Snapdragon 615 SoC and the other will have a MediaTekMT6795 chipset.

When it comes to specs, rumor has it that both devices will have a 2GB RAM and a 13-megapixel and 15-megapixel rear and front camera, respectively.

With the rumored specs, Redmi Note 2 is expected to be a good buy for its price and gadget lovers have Aug. 13, the rumored release date, to find out if the phone proves to be worth the price.

Xiaomi has made quite an impression with its affordable gadgets that carry decent specs, but a number of different competitors have also used the same strategy to entice more customers.

It was reported that Xiaomi took the top spot when it comes to hot gadgets in the Chinese market. News has it that the company even displaced Apple from its position.

Will Xiaomi's Redmi Note 2 stand a chance against its competitors?

Xiaomi, a fast-growing Chinese company, is determined to lead the top spot with the upcoming release of Redmi Note 2.

As mentioned, the device is expected to be introduced on Aug. 13, which is the same date that the company is reported to reveal the MIUI 7 UI.

Apart from that, the date will also be the same as Samsung's Unpacked event to be held in New York City, in which devices Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Galaxy Note 5 will likely be announced.
