Xbox Backward Compatibility news, update: Three more games added this month; Xbox Games with Gold for December 2016 revealed

Aside from the Xbox Games with Gold program, Xbox One owners also await the equally awesome feature known as the Backward Compatibility program. For the uninitiated, the Xbox program lets fans play legacy titles from Xbox 360 on their Xbox One consoles. As of late, 12 Xbox 360 titles have been added to the program for this month alone with the recent inclusion of three more games namely Ubisoft's "Rayman Legends," "Pure" from Disney, and "Burnout Paradise" from Electronic Arts (EA).

Moreover, Xbox Live's director of programming Larry Hryb, who's also known online as Major Nelson, posted the list of the latest inductees to the said program on top of the other Xbox 360 titles that were previously added in the past months.

Apart from the three aforementioned titles, other games that were added this month include the Microsoft game titled "LIMBO," "Mass Effects 2 and 3" from EA, "OFP: Red River" from publisher Codemasters, a Sega arcade game dubbed "Guardian Heroes," the acclaimed sports title "Skate 3" from EA, and "Escape Dead Island" from Deep Silver.

Classic titles such as "Red Dead Redemption," "Call of Duty: World at War," "Fallout: New Vegas," and "Left 4 Dead 2" are the current crowd favorites under the Xbox Backward Compatibility program.

Meanwhile, the list of games for the abovementioned Xbox Games with Gold for next month has also been confirmed. "Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition" from Square Enix will be offered once again for Xbox One which will be deemed free throughout next month. The list also includes Red Barrels Studio's "Outlast" which will be available during the second half of December.

As for Xbox 360 players, they will be getting "Outland" from game developer Housemarque that will be released at the beginning of next month and then "Burnout Paradise" for the second half.
