World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Survivor Series is finally here and it will just be a matter of time before spectators finally find out who the new WWE heavyweight champion will be.

The pay-per-view (PPV) will be highlighted by the WWE heavyweight title final and semifinal tournament which will see Roman Reigns facing U.S. champion Alberto Del Rio while Dean Ambrose will take on Intercontinental champion Kevin Owens.

If the matches go as many expect it to be, it will end up as a Reigns vs. Ambrose affair, although Del Rio and Owens have an equal chance of advancing as well. Twists are expected to happen, although it remains to be seen if that will happen during the semifinals or the finals setting itself.

Aside from that, there is that classic battle involving the Brothers of Destruction, Kane and The Undertaker going up against Bray Wyatt and one member of the clan, although it would not be surprising if this ends up as a handicap match of sorts. The Undertaker and Kane are likely to come out of this one, but one has to wonder if there would be any turncoat move at the end of the night between the Brothers of Destruction. Too bad it wasn't a traditional Survivor Series match.

A match between WWE Divas champion Charlotte and Paige are also in the cards. Despite the animosity of Paige yet again trying to win the title desperately, Charlotte is expected to win this one.

The brewing rivalry between Dolph Ziggler and Tyler Breeze finally gets some headway, with Summer Rae the catalyst of it all stemming from the Rusev storyline. Although Ziggler is the veteran, Breeze is likely to get the victory, which will kick up his rise in the WWE ranks.

And of course, a PPV with such a billing will not be complete without the traditional Survivor Series match. To date, there is no word on who will be making up the teams so that adds a bit of suspense to the whole mystery card.

WWE Survivor Series will take place despite threat of terrorist attack on the show's venue.

The WWE and the FBI are in close coordination with regard to the threat and right now, the word is that there is no specific or credible information that something untoward would hit the said PPV.

WWE Survivor Series will kick off at the Philips Arena this Sunday starting at 8 p.m. EST and 5 p.m. PST. The PPV will be aired live via the WWE Network and will be streamed live here.
