WWE SummerSlam rumors: Will Kevin Owens make some noise at next PPV?

By now, everyone knows that Kevin Owens has gone from headliner to mid-event superstar in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), much because of his performance at WWE Battleground.

Owens lost to John Cena yet again and if you have been following the WWE shows, you may have noticed that he is now feuding with Cesaro, someone who has been very active lately.

Although it won't be surprising to find the two of them settling the score at WWE SummerSlam next month, Owens is still hoping to get the attention of Brock Lesnar.

Through an interview, it will be recalled that Owens had sounded off about wanting to face the Beast Incarnate. Christian Today covered that story before and if you missed that one, you can find it here.

Moving forward, what is puzzling right now is how can such materialize. Is the WWE creative team even thinking of pitting the former WWE NXT champion against the Beast?

Right now, Lesnar is tied up with the Undertaker as the Dead Man seeks payback from the Beast for breaking his Wrestlemania streak. Although the reason for his return seems a bit delayed, everyone knows that the Undertaker doesn't really do regular shows as often.

He normally shows up on select pay-per-views, normally when Wrestlemania comes around. Hence his tiff at WWE SummerSlam is somehow surprising but could be considered a bonus of sorts.

So assuming that this feud between Lesnar and Undertaker is just short-term, would the WWE take into consideration Owen's wish of facing Lesnar?

Assuming they do, one has to think if Owens would stick his nose in the main event. He could taunt Lesnar or even end up distracting and costing the Beast Incarnate the match. Should that happen, the Undertaker gets his revenge and Lesnar would end up re-focusing his attention on Owens.

Could that work? If so, that would mean that Lesnar will be out of the WWE title picture yet again. But would the WWE agree to pit Lesnar against Owens after WWE SummerSlam?

It seems that if it happens, Owens would end up gaining from it all. Whether that is his intention or not remains to be seen.
