WWE SummerSlam 2016 predictions: Kevin Owens and Brock Lesnar to settle feud?

Will SummerSlam mark another epic battle between Kevin Owens (pictured) and Brock Lesnar? WWE

After a one-time UFC comeback fight against Mark Hunt, Brock Lesnar will be headed to the WWE SummerSlam 2016, where he is expected to battle Kevin Owens.

According to Bleacher Report, this is basically the next move for WWE in terms of bringing up one of its most promising fighters. A battle against Lesnar at SummerSlam will definitely cement Owens in top-tier status.

He will also be perfect for a match that Lesnar will be engaging in following an appearance at the UFC. Such match will be hyped and important and Owens is believed to live up to that excitement.

Ringtalkk reports that WWE is ready to lock in a match between the two at SummerSlam. In addition, Owens still has some unfinished business with Lesnar following their clash earlier this year.

Apart from Owens, the only possible opponent for Lesnar at SummerSlam is Bray Wyatt. A feud between them developed not too long ago and was poised to culminate in the pay-per-view event.

However, media outlets believe that this match is no longer on the table and that Lesnar will be brawling and tussling with Owens at SummerSlam.

Unfortunately for those rooting for the latter, Ringtalkk says he is bound to lose. The site says that like any other dream match involving Lesnar, he always gets to be the victor and this SummerSlam fight won't be any different.

It remains to be seen what will follow, but it is likely that it will put their feud to an inevitable end and that Owens will benefit from the match either way.

Before all that, Lesnar is expected to give a great showing in his fight against Hunt at the UFC on July 9. Whatever the result will be, Lesnar will be in SummerSlam.

WWE SummerSlam 2016 takes place on Aug. 21 at the Barclays Center.
