WWE SummerSlam 2015 news: Ziggler vs. Rusev happening at SummerSlam?

Dolph Ziggler may not have been at WWE RAW last Monday but the Showoff already made an appearance at the WWE Live Event held at Vancouver, British Columbia last Sunday according to Wrestling Inc.

Ziggler has been out of action in the WWE for a supposed injury though the real reason is that the Showoff was busy shooting for the film 6:42.

It will be recalled that Ziggler was put out of commission after being pounded on by Rusev using the Bulgarian Brute's crutches. Ziggler has been out of the WWE scene ever since though Lana has been making occasional appearances to keep the flames of that storyline afloat.

Ziggler brawled with Rusev at the Live event after Lana and Summer Rae were in the midst of a catfight. And so with the recent developments, it may not be surprising to find the much talked about feud to take place at WWE SummerSlam this coming Sunday.

Another interesting thing to look out for is the roles of their respective partners. Will the by wrestling or simply continuing their off-ring antics?

It may be wise to keep an eye on WWE Smackdown if this storyline gets appended. With no Ziggler at WWE Raw, chances are there will be a segment or promotional push this coming Thursday before the pay-per-view takes place this coming Sunday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

It will be interesting what will come out if the match does take place. Will Ziggler win over the Bulgarian Brute or will it be the other way around. Then again, it could end up in a no-contest if things get chippy between Lana and Summer Rae who are likely to get into it inside or outside the ring.

But it seems that the feud could likely get an extension regardless of the outcome. With Ziggler out of the WWE scene for over a month, the storyline never really got off the ground.

If not, it could be the end of that for both parties and it remains to be seen what new storyline both will get involved in.
