WWE rumors: Will the Ministry of Darkness rise once more?

There was a time when the Undertaker was sort of a heel and this was during the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE)  Attitude era. At the time, factions included the Ministry of Darkness and the Corporation among others.

For those who were able to follow it, the Undertaker was a prominent leader of the Ministry of Darkness which would eventually align with the Corporation led by Shane McMahon (and later on Vince McMahon).

Those days are long gone, of course, but when one observes the current tactics of the Undertaker, seeing the cheap shots and the low blows does sort of ring a bell.

Could the Ministry of Darkness (or something of that sort) be making a return? Will factions once again rise in the WWE?

The Authority is technically a faction so such could happen. But the thing is who will comprise the new Ministry of Darkness.

The idea seems wild at this point and seeing a faction war rise once more may not be totally sold.

Heading into WWE SummerSlam, everyone knows the bad blood shrouding the tiff involving the Dead Man and Brock Lesnar. But will it go beyond a head-to-head and turn into a numbers game?

Well, it has been proven that Lesnar has fallen to those odds, something that happened when Lesnar was hot on Seth Rollins' trail prior to WWE Battleground.

Skimming the ranks of the WWE right now, possible allies the Undertaker could have include a former foe in Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, and maybe even Adam Rose, who is reportedly set to have a character make-over.

Of course, Wyatt and Harper are involved in another storyline against Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. But do remember that there is word that Ambrose could turn heel and the two best buddies could be starting a new storyline of their own.

If that happens, the Wyatt family will be without a storyline. Add another former Wyatt family member in Erick Rowan who is rumored to be returning and you get a quartet already for the modern day Ministry of Darkness. How about Kane who is due to return at any moment now?

Whether such is true or not could be answered by Sunday when WWE SummerSlam kicks off at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The WWE pay-per-view (PPV) will be aired live via the WWE Network starting at 7 p.m. EST and 4 p.m. PST.
