WWE rumors 2015: Roman Reigns needs to prove he is better than John Cena

Roman Reigns is currently at the top of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) but things could change once John Cena returns.

Cena is undoubtedly the face of the company and the push given to Reigns was somehow meant to fill in the void. For Reigns to complete his rise to the top of the WWE, he will need some help from the Cenation leader.

Cena is likely to return in January 2016 once he is fully done hosting the reality TV show, "American Grit. While nothing has been set on stone, there is a chance that the two will cross paths and such could lead to a big match probably by the WWE Royal Rumble or maybe even WWE Fastlane.

How about Wrestlemania? Well, it could happen as well; however, there is widespread belief that both have other opponents to face.

Reigns is being linked to a possible match with Triple H while Cena is said to be the chosen one to send The Undertaker off to retirement. Unless something official is announced or new rumors crop up, such is the mindset of WWE fans.

Would Cena be face or heel? How about Reigns?

Well, Cena has proven he can play both perfectly, so it may not matter. It could be Cena simply wanting a crack at the belts and nothing else. But where does this place Sheamus?

Although the choice of having the Celtic Warrior as the champion bombed out badly, he may still be in the picture. He is more of a pawn for the Authority above everything else but seeing him win back the title right now doesn't seem to be in the storylines.

The fact is Reigns can complete his elevation to WWE stardom only when Cena returns. Once that happens, it remains to be seen how things will flow. Again, that is the job of the WWE creative team.
