WWE 2015 rumors: Jon Stewart not included at Wrestlemania 31

Wrestlemania normally squeezes in some celebrities during the annual event and while it seemed that Jon Stewart seemed to be the one pegged to make an appearance for Wrestlemania 31, that presumption can now be scratched.

The Daily Show host was somehow infused into the WWE scene when Seth Rollin was supposedly trying to prove to everyone that he was a better host than Stewart.

On the March 2 episode of WWE Raw, Rollins hosted a faux "Daily Show" to mock Stewart. Stressing that he could do a better job than the celebrity host, Rollins started with his first topic – "Where is Jon Stewart?"

And as he continued to deliver his barbs, Jon Stewart suddenly appears. The exchanges started, with Stewart emphasizing that he had something Rollins didn't have – respect.

Rollins took exception, eventually putting Stewart into a corner until the sudden appearance of Randy Orton caught his attention.

With a distracted Rollins, Stewart saw the chance and delivered a low blow to Rollins and scampered out of the ring.

That last scene may likely be the last with news of Jon Stewart not being part of Wrestlemania 31. Looking at it though, that last showdown could continue if the WWE had wanted. But apparently, it would be the last.

So why Randy Orton? While the Viper did help out Rollins in a previous match against Roman Reigns, it remains that Orton still carries that grudge which dates back to the former Shield member getting favored by Triple H. So instead of a Rollins-Stewart show in Wrestlemania, it looks like it will be that anticipated Orton-Rollins setto.

And based on their match last March 9, 2015, it certainly seems that this would be the matchup come Wrestlemania 31.
