WWE rumors 2016: Will Bill Goldberg consider a stint at Wrestlemania 32?

One of the most remembered figures in the wrestling scene who made a jump from the defunct World Championship Wrestling (WCW) brand to the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is Bill Goldberg.

Obviously, one of the biggest names that the WWE failed to capitalize on, Goldberg has long been gone from the wrestling scene and has moved on to Hollywood. He was known to be someone who could hold his own against WWE CEO Vince McMahon, making his surprise jump to the WWE brand back in 2003 a pretty surprising one.

Of course, his tenure wasn't a healthy and long one and after a year, he was gone. Since then, Goldberg has been seen on television, which in all has given him success.

But doesn't he miss wrestling? In a way, yes, since he is known as a competitor.

Would he consider a return to the WWE ring? The answer to that seems pretty far off seeing how things didn't really pan out with him and the WWE. But then again, nothing is impossible.

Why is this being tackled now? Well, let us face it, Goldberg is a big name and seeing the WWE wants to fill up the Cowboys Stadium for Wrestlemania 32 next year, a one-time appearance could be huge.

But for Goldberg to be there, the deal has to be good. Goldberg has evolved into a businessman and it will really take much for McMahon and the WWE to woo in the former football player and actor to take part in such a big event.

It would be short of saying that Goldberg holds a grudge against the WWE, but business talks. Money is important, of course; but if the WWE can show Goldberg an appealing business plan, he could just bite.

Besides, with a familiar foe in Brock Lesnar around, would it not be neat to see a rematch of that Wrestlemania 20 joust, in which Goldberg won, with Stone Cold Steve Austin serving as a guest referee.

Being a one-time deal and Lesnar looking for payback against past conquerors, that does sound like a grand idea. But how will the WWE pull it off?
