As rumored, the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has been on the offensive in signing up big names lately. Everyone may have already seen the debut of A.J. Styles who made quite an impression at the Royal Rumble. He was undoubtedly one of the highlights during the recently concluded WWE pay-per-view (PPV).

But aside from Styles, there is another one who was recently signed — Austin Aries. The 37-year-old recently debuted at WWE NXT, although his appearance will be aired on Mar. 2. Nonetheless, WWE fans may not have to wait that long to see how it all went down, thanks to a tweeted video which may be found below.

Aries may be a new name to many, but the man has been around. He has been through several promotions in the United States and a stop to the WWE was seen as the only thing missing.

The Milwaukee native is one of several big names to invade the WWE. Aside from him and Styles, there are also Shinsuke Nakamura, Karl Anderson, and Doc Gallows who have come on board. Most have come from the New Japan Pro Wrestling banner.

With the popularity of Aries, one has to wonder why Triple H decided to place him in the NXT brand and not the main roster.

Apparently, the WWE COO has big plans in store with WWE NXT rising in the ranks. He could likely follow the route of Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, or Sami Zayn, who also made an impression when he appeared at the 30-man battle royal.

Aries' coming is seen on a positive note and should be something to look forward to in the coming WWE NXT or even major shows. Regarded as one of the best all-around performers, it will be interesting to see if his stock goes up together with the WWE's drive to offer better shows and stars.
