WWE rumors 2015: Dolph Ziggler to retire?

There were high expectations on Dolph Ziggler after he re-signed with the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) for another two years. Apparently, the belief was that the Show Off would be given that long-awaited push, although such hasn't happened as of yet.

Of course, that starring role in the WWE film "6:42" could have been the alleged push. But in the minds of many, it is obvious that Ziggler wants a push inside the ring and not out of it.

Just the same, Ziggler is still hanging around and is currently in a feud with Tyler Breeze which seems more of a stepping stone for Breeze than a push for the Show Off.

Now would have been a perfect time to push Ziggler, considering that the company is reeling from the ratings game and are a bit shorthanded with Seth Rollins out due to injury.

Looking ahead, what does Ziggler have in mind? Will he renew by 2017 or embark on something else?

Ziggler did mention during an interview that he was leaning on being a stand-up comedian. On whether he was kidding or serious remains to be seen but then again won't be surprising.

Doing stand-up comedy seems to be Ziggler's thing and as long as it doesn't interfere with his schedule in the WWE, such may not be an issue. But doing it full-time could indicate that Ziggler may be slowly considering a shift in career.

As far as his title aspirations are concerned, there is no clear landscape right now, with the attention seemingly focused on Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. Two other titles could be worth the shot, but Ziggler hasn't gotten anywhere near them.

The U.S. title is currently held by Alberto Del Rio, while the Intercontinental title is wrapped around Kevin Owens' waist.

With his spiel now tied up with those of Breeze and Summer Rae, it isn't likely that he will be in the WWE title picture for now.
