WWE Fastlane rumors: Kalisto vs. Alberto Del Rio U.S. title match on again at WWE PPV

Last time out, it was reported that Alberto Del Rio joined Sheamus in sick bay with an injury. Until it was learned that Del Rio would be facing current U.S. champion Kalisto, many were apprehensive that the Hispanic star could be joining the World Wrestling Entertainment's (WWE) walking wounded.

In a way, the announcement should be a big sigh of relief for the WWE that is already dealing with an injury-riddled lineup. Even though the card seems a bit repetitive, seeing how both have already faced each other in the past, the WWE could be given a reprieve of sorts for their shortage of manpower.

Could fans be seeing another title change at WWE Fastlane? Well, if the trend between the two in the past is any indication it could be. That is unless the WWE puts an end to the matchup which hasn't really gained any ground.

If Del Rio wins again, it could set up a possible meeting at WrestleMania 32. Both stars have not been tied up with any major storyline, although Del Rio is still part of the League of Nations faction.

Looking at it in a different way, it does cover the earlier aim of the WWE to cover its Hispanic fan base. The only sour part is that it involves two stars that have been at it for at least four times already. Perhaps inserting some other star to feud with Kalisto instead?

Del Rio is seen better off vying for something else like maybe the Intercontinental title. The WWE title could be an option, but that is hardly doable with Triple H holding it. It may also be noted that the WWE title picture is shaping up to involve Dean Ambrose aside from the WWE's face of the future in Roman Reigns.

Even though Del Rio could be wrestling with a handicap, Kalisto could use that to his advantage. That is unless the WWE storylines call for Del Rio to be champion once again.
