Wrestling fans can look forward to seeing Goldberg again inside the ring, the ring in "WWE 2K17." The former WWE and WCW champion will be a pre-order bonus character for the upcoming game, which will be released for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One And Xbox 360.

"WWE 2K17" is offering wrestling icon Bill Goldberg as a pre-order bonus for the highly anticipated wrestling game. Two character-looks will also be available for the wrestling superstar, a WCW version and a WWE version. This marks the first time in 12 years that Goldberg and WWE are working together again, IGN reported.

Goldberg said in the interview, "It's an honor that's hard to put in words really. All you gotta do is mention the names that came before me, and to know that I'm in the same sentence as those guys, let alone following in their footsteps with this game, it's a huge honor and not one to be taken lightly."

Attack of the Fanboy reported that the inclusion of the former wrestling champion in the upcoming game sparked rumors that a real wrestling match could possibly follow soon. Many hardcore wrestling fans were disappointed back in 2004 when Goldberg left wrestling, not to mention the unsatisfactory match against Brock Lesnar during WrestleMania XX.

The report also mentioned that Goldberg will be wearing black tights for its WCW character version, while the WWE style will include black and white tights. Additionally, WCW Nitro and Halloween Havoc arenas will also come with the package.

The pre-order bonus is the third time that 2K Sports offered such a deal. Sting was the first one with "WWE 2K15," followed by Arnold Schwarzenegger for last year's version.

Additionally, fans would be happy to know that "WWE 2K17" will still be playable on the current and last-gen video game consoles. The game is speculated to be released in October, although there is still no available date.
