WWE 2015 rumors: Seth Rollins to defend against Kane next? what to expect

As has been speculated in recent weeks, Kane (the Masked version) has returned and it seems that he is after Seth Rollins.

Recall that according to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) storylines, Kane was sidelined due to an injury courtesy of Brock Lesnar. But the real reason behind it was that Kane starred in the WWE movie "6:42," which also billed Dolph Ziggler.

Ziggler has since returned and Kane was expected to follow suit. And so he did and probably in the nick of time before Sheamus could cash in and most probably became the new WWE Heavyweight champion at WWE Night of Champions.

His appearance though was not to save Rollins but to send a message — that he is going after the Architect and that he has set his eyes on the prize, which is the WWE heavyweight title.

For those who did not catch it, Kane first gave Rollins his patented choke slam before laying one on Sheamus next. After that, and for good measure, Kane delivered another one of his finishers — a tombstone.

At WWE RAW, even the Authority seemed clueless at what Kane has up his sleeve, although it seems that he still did act out his executive role. Could it be a case of dual identity? If so, Kane sent another message, dragging down Rollins in the middle of the ring in what many perceive as being dragged down to hell.

By all indications, it seems Kane will be the next opponent for Rollins and that the Architect will have a full load heading to the next WWE pay-per-view (PPV), Hell in a Cell.

It seems that Rollins vs. Kane would be fitting, but it seems that the WWE has satisfied itself pitting WWE Legends against Rollins. Has the WWE lost faith in its younger generation, calling on old timers to figure in the WWE title picture against Rollins?

It makes you wonder whom the WWE will pit next against Rollins, who is likely to retain (again) the title when he faces off against Kane. Whatever happened to the Roman Reigns push?

Whatever the WWE has planned, hopefully the WWE universe will approve — at least for now.
