WWE 2015 rumors, news: Samoa Joe to debut on WWE NXT in June

Samoa Joe (Nuufolau Joel Seanoa) was once the face of TNA wrestling, a fan favorite that many remember to this day. And now with Joe out of the TNA scene, his much awaited transfer and return to the squared circle may be coming up soon.

Samoa Joe was surprisingly on the WWE radar despite his age. The WWE has been known to hold off on people who may be too old. Apparently with his fan base and of course reputation, the WWE may have made an exception. Plus add to the fact that WWE Talent Relations head Triple H is a big fan, Samoa Joe's coming had been practically sealed.

However, Samoa Joe still has to cover some ground and this concerns the need for him to complete medical testing and other pre-hire procedures. While that may take some time, the earliest the WWE universe may see Joe could be by the end of May or June at the latest.

Samoa Joe will reportedly debut at WWE NXT as a start before eventually elevating him to the WWE main roster. On how long that would take could all depend on how Joe keeps up though there is a possibility that he may be kept under the WWE NXT brand and use his popularity as a selling point.

Joe has had a colorful wrestling career. He is a former Ring of Honor world champion and has held various titles during his TNA tenure. That includes being the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, X Division champion and a Television champion.

He also boasts of an impressive 18-month undefeated streak in 2005. That streak was snapped by Kurt Angle during a Genesis event in 2006 when Joe tapped out from Angle's patented ankle lock.

To date, the WWE has yet to officially confirm that Samoa Joe has already signed a contract with the WWE. If he does complete all the medical and pre-employment requirements, that could all be made official in the coming weeks.
