WWE 2015 rumors: Lana to turn face at Payback?

 Wikipedia

Hearing about Lana leaving Rusev has been around for some time now, something many may trace as far as Wrestlemania 31.

It will be recalled that Lana and Rusev started to show some dissention, especially after Rusev got his winning streak cut and losing the United States Championship to John Cena.

While many felt that a breakup would be coming soon after that, Lana was still by the side of Rusev at WWE Extreme Rules. But if you were able to watch the event, the Lana-Rusev connection was rocky as ever.

At one point when Lana was acknowledging the cheers from the crowd, Rusev sent the luscious Lana backstage when the crowd started to chant for her and not for Rusev. And the result was of course Cena once again coming out on top.

After that, Lana was sent by Rusev to the office of The Authority which Lana later on said was 'done'. Rusev and Cena would meet again at WWE Payback and the match was an 'I Quit' match.

There is no telling what kind of storyline would ensue and as reported earlier here on Christian Today, the odds do not seem to be in favor of the Bulgarian Brute. Can he make John Cena utter those two words and reclaim his United States title? The outlook doesn't seem bright for Rusev given Cena's history of this kind of match.

Moreso, will the next WWE PPV finally be the tipping point? Will Lana leave Rusev for good and become the so-called new 'face of the company'?

There is no official word on whether Lana would be wrestling for real and should she leave Rusev, she may follow the footsteps of AJ Lee and start her solo career as a general manager. That should give her ample time to learn the ropes before competing for real against other WWE Divas.
