WWE 2015 news: The Bulgarian Brute is bouncing back

Rusev Wikipedia

After being sidelined for some time, it is safe to say that Alexander Rusev is back. Even though his storyline feud with Dolph Ziggler has to clear the air, it seems that he is holding fort and behind the skirmishes that Summer Rae and Lana are into.

There is still no official word on whether or not he and Ziggler would actually get it on at World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) SummerSlam but there is still a week to go to see that happen.

Ziggler reportedly made an appearance at one of the live shows in British Columbia, but the Showoff has yet to make a comeback on the regular shows like RAW and Smackdown. Could he make an appearance in the coming week to make the WWE SummerSlam face-off official?

Going back to Rusev, the big guy needs credit for holding his own. He has been pitted with alternative wrestlers for the time being; but the storylines are the ones that are becoming more interesting. Of course, this has something to do with Summer Rae and Lana.

Ziggler could be still busy with the movie 6:42, which may be a reason why he has yet to return to regular WWE programming. So if that were the case, what does WWE SummerSlam hold for Rusev.

We have been constantly waiting for a Rusev vs. Ziggler tiff with Summer Rae and Lana lingering in the background. But what if we reverse the scenario? Why not Lana vs. Summer Rae in a not-so-wrestling type of a match like maybe the good old pillow fights the WWE used to hold?

Rusev would, of course, play chaperone and should he get himself involved, enter Ziggler and boom — comeback! The Showoff is back!

That is just one idea and surely the WWE Creative Team has a lot of things going on that we have yet to see.

Remember, WWE SummerSlam takes place on Aug. 23, 2015 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn New York starting at 7 p.m. EST or  4 p.m. PST. It will be aired live by the WWE Network.
