WWE 2015 rumors: AJ Styles joining Samoa Joe at NXT?

AJ Styles Wikipedia

Another former TNA wrestler could be joining the WWE ranks soon with reports that the WWE has changed its mind as far as AJ Styles is concerned.

Styles is best known for being among the top attractions of TNA Wrestling and is currently making waves in New Japan Pro Wrestling circuit.

The WWE had the chance to snag AJ Styles in 2013 but the company apparently was not interested.

There was no clear reason given on why the WWE snubbed Styles back then though it is believed that at that time, the WWE had a large stable of stars who carried the same size that Styles had, not to mention younger. Styles is set to turn 38 years old soon, a concern that the WWE may take into consideration if they are indeed serious in getting the current NJPW star.

Styles eventually took his act to the Indy scene where he claims to have had more success compared to his time at TNA Wrestling.

And apparently the WWE has taken notice and is now rumored to be interested in signing him to help hone up WWE NXT. If a deal materializes, he will be reunited with Samoa Joe, a former TNA wrestler as well.

An interesting angle was Styles mentioning before that he was not interested in joining the WWE. He believes that the WWE is currently struggling and stood pat in saying that the New Japan Pro Wrestling company is the hottest wrestling group to date.

With those comments, the WWE may find the recruitment process a bit tough. Arrogant as Styles could be, it remains that he has made a name for himself and the WWE stands to benefit from it should they succeed in luring him to help build on the WWE NXT brand.

If Styles and the WWE come to terms, he will most likely follow the deal that Samoa Joe got. This means he could work on select dates and rack in good money without having to leave the NJPW.
