Warner Bros. is leaning toward an earlier release of "Wonder Woman."

The film studio unveiled a new list of release dates for their upcoming films, including the new release date of "Wonder Woman," starring Gal Gadot, who was introduced in the DC Extended Universe franchise in "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" on March 25.

Instead of debuting in theaters on June 23, 2017, the superhero movie will be released on June 2. While the film has distanced itself from the same release date of the next "Transformers" movie, it will still compete with "Bad Boys 3" and "Captain Underpants" for the viewers' attention on its new release date.

To complete the cast of the upcoming "Wonder Woman" movie, Gadot will be joined by a stellar roster of stars, including Chris Pine, who portrays the role of Wonder Woman's love interest Steve Trevor; Robin Wright, who portrays the role of Diana/Wonder Woman's aunt General Antiope; Connie Nielsen as Diana's mother Queen Hippolyta; and Lucy Davis as Diana's best friend Etta Candy.

Other members of the cast include Danny Huston, Saïd Taghmaoui, Ewen Bremner, David Thewlis and Elena Anaya in still-undisclosed roles.

The release dates of other DC films were also announced. They include the star-studded anti-hero flick "Suicide Squad" on Aug. 5, 2016, the first "The Justice League" on Nov. 17, 2017, "The Flash" on March 16, 2018, "Aquaman" on July 27, 2018, "Shazam!" on April 5, 2019, the second installment of "Justice League" on June 14, 2019, "Cyborg" on April 3, 2020, and "Green Lantern Corps" on June 19, 2020.

Two untitled DC films are included on the list of upcoming movies from Warner Bros. which will be released on Oct. 5, 2018, and Nov. 1, 2019, respectively.
