George R.R. Martin, the author of Winds of Winter is exhausting all means to make sure that the book comes out before Season 6 of Game of Thrones.

Hence, don't be surprised that he may not be seen that much on events and interviews since Martin is trying to work overtime to make sure that the new book gets released before HBO unveils the next season of Game of Thrones.

To date, Martin confessed that the success of his previous book used in Game of Thrones has been eating up a lot of his time and now he has to adjust and cut down on some of them to buy time. That includes shunning conventions and interviews just to get the book out as scheduled.

Martin's previous book, A Song of Fire and Ice, was the guide that helped catapult Game of Thrones to where it is now. Popularity includes Martin of course, being the author and the rock-star life has offered more problems than he may take. And now he has to make up for it but avoiding the spotlight, at least until he finishes Winds of Winter.

Usually composed and confident, Martin seems to be cramming in a way if one goes by the interviews he has done in connection with the real score of Winds of Winter.

There is speculation that the book could be out by 2016 and hopefully before Game of Thrones Season 6.

Season 6 of the HBO series has yet to announce an official date though there are some reports that it could probably take place in April, 2016. The season is said to be one of the most intense ones of the series to look out for.

Assuming it does come out by April, 2016, Martin has less than a year to finish Winds of Winter. Depending on where he is right now, expect Martin to lock himself from the world until he nears (or reaches the finish line).
