Will you stand in the gap?
The GDOPLondon team has not rested on its laurels since the breakthrough on May 31st but has instead been meeting regularly to keep the prayer momentum going. More than 100 GDOP leaders and borough coordinators were invited to a special reception at No 11 Downing Street – a clear sign of the Lord opening the door for us to pray directly into the financial crisis from the home of the Chancellor of the Exchequer!
We have also held continuous prayer meetings to maintain the level of intercession needed for the city. At a time when ungodly legislation is being passed in Parliament and secularists and atheists are becoming even bolder in their demands for a godless public square, Christians need to be awake, alert and praying for God’s intervention at such a time as this.
If we are going to turn our nation around through God’s mercy and grace, and see many souls revived and coming to Christ, then prayer can no longer be an event but a lifestyle. The Lord is looking for intercessors, for those who will lay down their own agendas and pick up His.
Do not let your strongest spiritual weapon gather dust. Sign up today and join the global praying army of the Lord who is ushering His Kingdom into estates, neighbourhoods, offices, schools, villages, towns and cities. Stand in the gap and declare with us that the UK belongs to the Lord. Hold a prayer service, tell your friends about the Global Day of Prayer movement, set your alarm to pray the Lord’s Prayer at 12 noon, organise a borough-wide prayer event.
Whatever you do, don’t do nothing!!
