"Warcraft" game fans are all hyped up again after Blizzard Entertainment and Legendary Pictures released the second trailer for the highly anticipated movie based on the game. Fans have been waiting for this movie for a decade since its announcement.
The second trailer is a full minute long and contains additional characters and scenes expected from the movie. It shows fighting dwarves and magic spells. Additional fight scenes are also included in the latest installment. However, a few segments are from the first trailer.
"An epic adventure of world-colliding conflict based on Blizzard Entertainment's global phenomenon," states the official storyline of the movie. "The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders; Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home."
The movie is set to be released internationally as "Warcraft: The Beginning," and is an adaptation of a video game with the same title. The movie revolves mainly around the origin of the war that involves the humans and the orcs, the green-colored fictional race. Orcs are also the main villains in the first two games of the series.
The movie stars Travis Fimmel as Anduin Lothar, a knight of the Alliance; Paula Patton as Garona, the human and orc hybrid; Dominic Cooper as King Llane Wrynn, the ruler of the Kingdom of Azeroth during the First War; Ben Foster as Medivh, the Last Guardian of Tirisfal; and Clancy Brown as Blackhand, the first Warchief of the Horde. It also stars Robert Kazinsky as Orgrim Doomhammer; Toby Kebbell as Durotan, the lead protagonist of the Horde; Ben Schnetzer as Khadgar, the gifted wizard; and Ruth Negga as Lady Taria, the queen of the Kingdom of Azeroth.
"Warcraft: The Beginning" is directed by Duncan Jones, who also directed "Source Code" (2011) and "Moon" (2009). It is scheduled to be released on June 10.
