The lack of a specific return date for "Vikings" season 4 had many fans worried it will be delayed. It looks like there is nothing to be worried about after all.
Cast member Katheryn Winnick, who plays the role of Lagertha in the series, announced on Facebook that the second half of the season is "in the can and ready to hit your screens."
There were fears that fans will have to wait longer for the return of "Vikings" season 4 as History Channel has not identified as specific midseason premiere date.
Winnick even teased some post-production rush before she made the official announcement, teasing that the next 10 episodes of the season will be "epic."
There will be big developments for Winnick's character in the second half of "Vikings" season 4. Not only does she have a female lover when she returns, Lagertha is also out for blood and revenge.
In the first half of the season, Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland) left her to die. This time, it looks like the tables will turn as Lagertha makes her rival pay for taking away everything from her.
Interestingly, there are rumors that it will be Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) and not Lagertha who gets to kill Aslaug. The old man has returned to Kattegat and he is not very happy with his wife's attempt to kill him.
With Ragnar gone, the throne will go to Aslaug so she wanted to make sure she gets it. She obviously failed and as per "Vikings" season 4 spoilers, Ragnar will get payback.
In the trailer for the second half of the season, Aslaug was glimpsed crying on the floor with blood on her hands. Surely, she is in big trouble although it is unclear who is responsible for it.
Either way, this will be part of the thrill the final episodes of "Vikings" season 4 will bring to fans. There's no premiere date yet, but with the production complete, History should make the announcement soon.
