"Vikings" fans can't wait for the continuation of the historical drama's fourth season. History Channel decided to give the cast and crew of the show lengthy rest and will air the remaining 10 episodes in the fall. Now, fans are curious if they will be witnessing the end of Ragnar(Travis Fimmel), as well as the rise of Ivar the Boneless (Alex Hogh Andersen) as the new king of Kattegat.

A "Vikings" teaser was released a few days ago, and fans got a glimpse of the main characters of the show. It will not be hard to notice how Ragnar has grown older. It also seems that he is ready to find his successor. The first half of the season showed him leaving his kingdom, coming back after several years, and his sons with Princess Auslaug (Alyssa Sutherland) all grown up.

It is speculated again that the Viking king will meet his end at the hands of his own people, but this rumor was already been cleared by the show's creator, Michael Hirst, during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter a few months back.

Hirst said," Absolutely not! You wait until you see the next season. Ragnar's story is nowhere near the end. Nowhere near the end, and it's just an amazing, onward story. It may be the story of the rise and fall of a hero — it still counts as a fall, I suppose — but some of my best work and Travis' work comes in the next half of the season. If you think you've seen stuff from Travis yet, you haven't."

The short video also showed Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick), who seems to have fully recovered and ready to fight back with Ragnar

Fans are also aware that there are important things that Ragnar needs to settle first, hopefully, in the second half of the season. Rollo is still in Paris, King Ecbert still has Ragnar's son, Magnus, from Queen Kwenthrith. However, Ragnar seems to have lost interest in conquering Paris, but Bjorn has not.

"Vikings" season 4 will return to History Channel in the fall, but no airdate has been announced.
