Does Nina Dobrev regret leaving "The Vampire Diaries"?
Fans of the supernatural The CW series shed many tears when Dobrev's character, Elena Gilbert, made her exit from the show during the season 6 finale which aired on May 14. In the episode, Kai put a spell on Elena, which put her on an enchanted sleep, and the spell will only be broken if Bonnie (Kat Graham) dies. Although many were relieved that her character wasn't killed off, the storyline means that the actress' exit is as good as permanent.
The "Degrassi" alum announced last month that she would be exiting the series as she saw Elena's adventure ending after six seasons. It was reported that the actress was eager to pursue her dreams of getting good roles in movies, but now, a new report claims that the actress is starting to regret leaving the show.
According to a source from CelebrityDirtyLaundry, Dobrev is having a hard time after realizing that there are more actresses than there are roles in Hollywood, and it's not that easy to get good roles. Dobrev did have roles in last year's "Let's Be Cops" and this year's "The Final Girls," but she has yet to land a starring role in a major film, one that will showcase her acting chops.
For now, the actress has been spending time with friends and has just gone on a roadtrip following her exit from "The Vampire Diaries." Last week, Dobrev was also on the set of "Dancing With the Stars" during the finale to watch her good friends Derek and Julianne Hough perform a special number. Last month, it was rumored that the Hough siblings were encouraging Dobrev to compete in the show next season, and if she commits, Derek is said to be willing to be her partner on the hit ABC dance competition.
Dobrev is said to be considering joining "DWTS," but this has not yet been confirmed.
