New reports say that the sequel to "Titanfall," "Titanfall 2," will definitely be released within this year.
PC Advisor has reported that Blake Jorgensen, CFO of EA, said that the release date of this highly anticipated game will be within a three-week window just before "Battlefield 1," which is expected to be launched on Oct. 21. He even said that the company is excited to compete with "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare," which will be launched by Nov. 4.
While the fans are excited about the game's release, they're even more hyped by the possible new features this game will offer. As such, a lot of them are speculating on it, but thanks to Forbes's February interview with "Titanfall 2" lead writer Jesse Stern some of the rumors have been put to rest. Stern confirmed that the game will be available on multiple platforms.
"This one is going to be widely available, I believe on all platforms," said Stern.
The game will also feature a single-player campaign that will attempt to address the first game's shortcomings. In this new "Titanfall" installment, the developers will aim to ensure that sufficient mechanisms will be available for them to be able to tell their players their purpose effectively.
Stern even said that "Titanfall 2" could be as close to retelling the story of the American Revolution and American Civil War as they can, with everything happening in space in the far future. He even said that the game might even feature scenes where both magic and science will be involved, but it will be in such a way that it will be kept as human and as real as possible.
In any case, while a lot of fans are doubting the effectiveness of having two EA game titles' release in close proximity, the gaming giant assures everyone that both games will cater to different audiences, and thus pose no problems.
