The Marvel Cinematic Universe is known to have all of its heroes interact with one another at some points in their own stories. The upcoming installment for "Thor: Ragnarok" is no exception to that, and may play a huge role on how Marvel sets the stage for the all-out mayhem in "Avengers: Infinity War."
In one of the more recent Marvel movies, Doctor Strange is seen speaking with Thor during the mid-credits scene. Marvel has the habit of dropping clues during the credit roll, inciting a lot of rumors from spectators. This can give the idea that further details may be seen in the upcoming "Thor" movie.
Moreover, it is quite noteworthy that Thor and the Hulk weren't present in the "Captain America: Civil War" plot. This could be a dropped puzzle piece that would make sense when an explanation would be given in "Thor: Ragnarok," adding anticipation that Bruce Banner could also make an appearance.
Further adding to the suspicion of the two heroes joining in the movie was when Chris Hemsworth hinted there will be additional cast members, and it doesn't look like he's referring to the new villain, Hela. Even director Taika Waititi was teasing fans about the possible occurrence of new personalities in the movie, Game N' Guide reports.
Perhaps the more explosive rumor of all, especially for true Marvel fans, is the probability of finding the last Infinity Stone in "Thor: Ragnarok." Currently, the previous films have already identified the Space Gem in the Tesseract, the Reality Gem in the Aether, the Time Gem in Doctor Strange's Necklace, the Power Gem enclosed in an Orb, and the Mind Gem placed on a Scepter.
Movie News Guide has cleverly analyzed the clues, which points to the possibility that the Soul Gem could be introduced in the third Thor movie. The stone could be associated with the letter "H" to complete the name THANOS, corresponding to the six Infinity Stones.
Theories suggest that "H" could stand for the hammer, Mjolnir. The weapon chooses the bearer, not the other way around, so it has some merit. Another would be Heimdall since he mentioned in the second Thor movie that he can look into the souls of ten trillion people across the realms. Lastly, it can be Hela, the villain in the upcoming film who is known as the ruler of the dead.
Fans will have to wait and see when "Thor: Ragnarok" hits the silver screen on Nov. 3, 2017.
