'The Winds of Winter' update, rumors: Release set before 'Game of Thrones' season 7 premiere

It looks like "A Song of Ice and Fire" readers are still hoping that the collection's sixth book, "The Winds of Winter," will see release before HBO's television adaptation of the novels, "Game of Thrones," starts airing its seventh season.

According to a report by Mobile N Apps, even though rumors have been spreading that the publication of "The Winds of Winter" will see delay, others still believe that the book could see release sometime in 2017 before the airing of the seventh season of "Game of Thrones."

Last year, the sixth season of HBO's television adaptation which was supposed to be loosely based on "The Winds of Winter" had gone ahead of the book, airing before it had its book launched. Now, readers of George R.R. Martin's popular fantasy epic novel series, "A Song of Ice and Fire," are fervently hoping that "The Winds of Winter" sees release before "Game of Thrones" goes even further and airs its seventh season.

However, to this day, Martin and his publishers still remain mum about the official release date of the missing book.

Meanwhile, in other "The Winds of Winter" news, it looks like Martin has been busy blogging again on LiveJournal. While Martin still hasn't made any concrete updates regarding the sixth "A Song of Ice and Fire" installment, readers can see how Martin has been feeling and how he's been spending his time outside of writing. Not only has Martin been grieving over the death of the iconic and prolific musician Leonard Cohen, but it looks like he has been mourning the victory of the newly elected Republican candidate, Donald Trump.

Game N Guide reports that this has led some to believe that the publication of "The Winds of Winter" could be pushed even further as rumors have begun spreading that Martin would delay the release to protest the win of Trump.
