'The Walking Dead' season 7 teasers: Cast knows who died in season 6 finale, says Tyler James William

Who did Negan killed in season 6 finale? AMC

The cast of "The Walking Dead" claimed that they have no idea who Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) bludgeoned to death in the sixth season finale, but one of their former co-stars believes otherwise.

Tyler James William sat down with Entertainment Weekly Radio to talk about the puzzling season 6 finale that will open the big events in season 7. Viewers saw that Negan brutally bashed someone's skull with his barbed-wire-wrapped bat, which he lovingly calls Lucille, at the end of the episode, but they do not know who that unfortunate person was.

All the cast members of the show claim that they are also kept in the dark about the identity of the character who died in the season 6 finale. However, Williams said that everyone is just lying to keep the plot for season 7 a secret.

"You have to understand [showrunner Scott M. Gimple] knows everything seasons and seasons out, so people knew, but we can't say anything," Williams said. "No one can say anything. So it's actually better to say that we don't know."

Williams, whose character Noah was killed off in season 5, also revealed that he is still kept in the loop regarding the developments of the show.

"We all still speak and they kind of keep me up to date and stuff on what's going on and all of that," the actor said.

However, Lauren Cohan told E! Online that the cast members only have "some idea" about what is going to happen in season 7. Still, the actress, who plays the role of Maggie Greene in the series, teased that Negan's victim will be revealed as soon as the series premieres in season 7.

"I think there will be some answers right off the bat, and it will be very, very intense. And then we'll be exploring avenues and relationships that we haven't yet, but you'll definitely be taken on the roller coaster ride," the actress stated.

AMC will release the premiere episode of "The Walking Dead" season 7 this fall.
