The newest season of "The Strain" seems to have a lot to offer for its viewers. After all, the third season will be set in New York, and will feature a lot of  twists and turns that will keep fans guessing and entertained.

According to an interview with TVLine, Chuck Hogan, the executive producer of the show, said during the Television Critics Association Press Tour that there will be some new character combinations. There will be some characters who will come and join their forces in a way fans never expected. He even went so far as to say that his excitement is palpable, as he thinks that the show will be really fun to watch.

He also revealed that the upcoming season of "The Strain" will feature some remarkable effects, which he hopes would outperform the show's two earlier seasons. As for the story, he announced something that would certainly surprise viewers, described as "a major story turn" by the third episode. This will give "an interesting direction" to the story and will continue to steer it towards that direction for the rest of the season.

Furthermore, Hogan described the season finale as "pretty intense," which certainly means that it will be wild and will veer off in the most unexpected ways. Clearly, upon hearing this most fans are already starting to build up anticipation, and apparently his statements only added more fuel to the flame of excitement fans are clearly feeling with or without the teasers.

The future of the series, however, is discussed by the showrunner Carlton Cuse, according to Ecumenical News. He said that the show, the way it is right now, is pretty impossible to decide whether or not the show will have more seasons after this one.

The third season of "The Strain" will premiere on Aug. 28 on FX.
