'The Sims 4' news: New patch for 'City Living' in the works; gamers enjoy Black Friday Boost

"The Sims 4" Day of the Dead challenge will run from Oct. 4 until Nov. 4. The Sims website

Though Electronic Arts (EA) and Maxis have just released one of the most diverse "The Sims 4" expansions earlier this month with "The Sims 4: City Living," it looks like gamers are looking for more patches from the videogame developers of the popular life simulation videogaming franchise.

According to a report by Game N Guide, the rumor mill has begun spreading word that EA and Maxis are working on another DLC patch for "The Sims 4: City Living," impeding the development of the highly anticipated "The Sims 5" videogame. While "The Sims 4: City Living" offers a lot of diversity in the city of San Myshuno, it seems like players want EA and Maxis to add more spice to the game. It isn't enough the San Myshuno has restrictive apartments or that it has all sorts of festivals as gamers want more.

To cater to the gamers' whims, reports have started to spread saying that EA and Maxis are working on a new patch for "The Sims 4: City Living" which offers gamers more apartments, more condominiums and more features. One of these features include a new dating system which allow gamers' sims to make real time online connections like people do today on various online dating sites.

The patch for "The Sims 4: City Living" expansion allegedly uses the same mechanism as Tinder where the patch uses internet connection to help a gamer's sim connect to other sims in actual time. Some believe that virtual dating could be a very cool feature for "The Sims 4" and EA and Maxis may try to take the idea to its next "The Sims" installment, "The Sims 5."

In other "The Sims 4" news, Jasmine Holiday returned to the game last week for a Black Friday holiday Boost. Gamers have been getting that much needed satisfaction points from whims thanks to Jasmine Holiday and though the Boost Week just ended today, it looks like some have been making the most of the holiday boost spree.
