It looks like "The Originals" is going to get another crossover with its parent series, "The Vampire Diaries," when it returns with its fourth season in March next year.

According to a report by TVline, Matthew Davis' tough as nails vampire hunter Alaric Saltzman from "The Vampire Diaries" will be making his way into "The Originals" during the eighth episode of its fourth season. Though the vampire hunter still has problems of his own as his daughters remain as targets by a siren, it seems like Alaric will make a detour from saving his twins in order to appear in "The Originals" and send over an extremely valuable relic to Daniel Gillies' deuteragonist, Elijah Mikealson.

Apparently this is the fourth time that a crossover between "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Originals" has occurred. During season 1 of "The Originals," Michael Trevino's character Tyler had to make a jump into the other series to deal with Klaus and get his revenge. Moreover, during season 3 of "The Originals," Zach Roerig's vampire Matt and Paul Wesley's character Stefan from "The Vampire Diaries" had to make their way into the show for their own reasons.

Though there aren't a lot of details about the new series, it seems like Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Hope (Summer Fontana) are both going to try and hunt down seven packs of werewolves so they can save the Mikaelsons. Not to worry though, as it seems like Hope's all grown up now in the fourth season of "The Originals." Meanwhile, fans will finally learn more about Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) as Joshua Rosza (Steven Krueger) stumbles onto a new path of love again.

"The Originals" has been slated to premiere next year on Friday, March 17, at 8 p.m. on The CW, a week after the final season of "Vampire Diaries" airs.
