It has been 11 years since we saw the family of superheroes known as the Incredibles but the sequel may be out in a couple of years.

Pixar has reserved two release dates and many believe that one of them could possibly be for "The Incredibles 2." The dates that have been reserved are November 22, 2017 and June 15, 2018, two key dates which may be either for "The Incredibles 2" or another animated film set for a third installment, "Cars 3."

Between the two however, it seems that the Incredibles is believed to be the one that would be shown first. Much of these speculations come from inside (but unverified) reports that the "Incredibles 2" is closer to production.

With regards on which is which, Pixar fans may just have to wait a couple of months to find out. Pixar is expected to spill the beans this August during the D23 Expo, something which should finally reveal which of the two popular films will be shown first.

As far as the plot of the "Incredibles 2" is concerned, it seems that the sequel will take off several years ahead from the last time we saw the family of superheroes. And in focus in the sequel is Jack-Jack, the cute baby who Syndrome kidnapped towards the end of "The Incredibles 1."

With a teenage Jack-Jack, it seems that the overprotective parents (Mr. Incredible and Elasto Girl) has resulted in a rebellious Jack-Jack. The two have apparently become such after that incident involving their son and Syndrome.

Jack-Jack becomes an outcast which eventually becomes a problem once he discovers his special powers (ability to turn into fire, metal and maybe some other element) when he gets angry.

With his abilities, Jack-Jack will reportedly be drawn to an up and coming villain where he becomes an apprentice. But things get complicated when Jack-Jack is given a special mission – kill his family.

"The Incredibles 2" could be shown either on November, 2017 or June, 2018. Whichever of the two it comes out, here is hoping that the sequel is able to sustain the level of satisfaction folks had with "The Incredibles 1."
