The midseason finale of "The Good Wife" season 7 titled "KSR" recently aired and the Internet is going crazy over the confession featured in the episode.

The title of the episode stands for "kidnap, sedate, rape," which has to do with the case that Alicia (Julianna Margulies) and Lucca (Cush Jumbo) are working on. It involves a pediatric surgeon who spends his time fantasizing about kidnapping, sedating and raping one of his patient's mothers via BrutalMercy.com.

But perhaps the most shocking reveal of all is what Eli (Alan Cumming) told Alicia. He confessed to having deleted a voicemail sent to her by Will Gardner (Josh Charles) from season 2. Will had called Alicia to tell her he loved her and wanted to be with her, but Eli had erased it as he had feared it would jeopradize Peter's (Chris Noth) career. Alicia, not knowing what to do with the information, asks Eli to get out after taking his glass from him.

After a tumultuous and shocking episode, fans are left wondering what the rest of the season will contain.

Speculations have been made regarding the second half of the seventh season. It is unclear as of yet what the consequences of Eli's honest confession are, but that will likely be covered when the show returns.

CarterMatt reports that Alicia and Eli's relationship will suffer and will probably take a while before it gets repaired, if it gets fixed at all. The same website also states that Alicia "may also be playing the what-if game, which has her wondering if she had received that message from Will so many years ago, maybe things could have been different."

And now that Jason (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) has been sent away temporarily, the rest of the episodes might also show Alicia dealing with the loss of their investigator.

"The Good Wife" season 7 returns on Jan. 10 on CBS.
