The Flash Season 2 news, rumors: Have we seen the last of Reverse-Flash?

With the Flash Season 1 already wrapped up, DC fans are eagerly awaiting what lies ahead for Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and the gang in season 2.

To recall, everyone saw in the season finale how the Reverse-Flash (aka Dr.Harrison Wells, Eobard Thawne played by Tom Cavanagh) ceased to exist after Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett) sacrificed his life to negate the Reverse-Flash from ever existing. So was this the end of the Reverse-Flash angle?

If CW follows the script in the comics, the Reverse-Flash or Eobard Thawne or Dr. Zoom is pegged to return. Though there could be changes in identity, seeing that time-travel has become a crucial part in the series, rumors have it that Eddie Thawne could eventually be the Reverse-Flash.

Of course, Tom Cavanagh is not entirely erased from such, possibly altering the timeline once again and getting the job done of saving himself in the process.

There is still a lot in store for the DC universe and there is also an angle where a new nemesis named Cobalt Blue could appear rather than the Reverse-Flash.

Cobalt Blue could be a possible villain that may be played by Eddie Thawne. In fact, Eddie could eventually be known as Malcolm Thawne, Barry's long-lost twin brother who ended up being raised by the Thawnes to be evil.

Be guided that all these are just rumors on what to expect for the second season. But one thing's for sure, Tom Cavanagh and Rock Cosnett will still be around.

On what role they act out remains under wraps for now and much of the rumors going around are tied up with the fact that new enemies exist ahead for the Flash, including a return by the main villain in the Flash Season 1, the Reverse-Flash or Eobard Thawne or Dr. Harrison Wells.
