'The Blacklist' season 4 spoilers: in episode 6, Liz must decide between Red and Kirk

A promotional still from "The Blacklist" NBC

Liz (Megan Boone) and Red (James Spader) could finally bring Alexander Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen) down in the next episode of "The Blacklist" season 4.

The episode titled "The Thrushes" will reportedly feature Liz and Red's next move in order to pin down the man who is claiming to be Liz's father.

According to the synopsis that was posted by The Futon Critic, "When Alexander Kirk contracts with a mysterious group that specializes in hacking the world's most secure computer systems, Red and Liz see an opportunity to make a move on Kirk's organization."

But based on the promo trailer for the episode, catching Kirk will not be a walk in the park. The trailer revealed that Liz will have a hard time choosing who to believe between Red and Kirk since both of them lied to her.

In the trailer, Red was trying to convince Liz that she does not have to believe that Kirk is her father just because he married her mom. But Liz said that it is also hard to believe Red because of his history of concealing a lot of things from her.

But as they managed to find out where Kirk was hiding, Liz could not allow Red and the police to shoot Kirk because he is holding her daughter, Agnes, while at the rooftop. Could this mean that Kirk could still manage to escape using Liz and her child as his scapegoat?

Liz's decision about who to trust could make a big implication on the plot of "The Blacklist" season 4. If she chooses Kirk, she could be endangering her life and her child's life because Kirk is planning to use their DNA to cure his disease. But if she chooses Red, she might lose Agnes. This is going to be a grave ordeal for Liz.

The next episode of "The Blacklist" season 4 is slated to air on Thursday, Oct. 27, on NBC.
