'The Bachelor' 2017 spoilers, news: Nick Viall's search for love begins on Jan. 2

ABC finally revealed the official premiere date of Nick Viall's chance to find true love in season 21 of "The Bachelor" early next year.

E! News cited the press release from the network, saying that the latest season of "The Bachelor" will start with a two-hour episode on Monday, Jan. 2.

According to the press release, Nick will move on from his two infamous TV heartbreaks after being dumped by both Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe successively during season 10 and season 11 of "The Bachelorette." He was also unsuccessful to find love during the third season of "Bachelor in Paradise."

"After all these years, and all the heartbreak, it's finally Nick's turn to hand out the roses. Will he finally find that love he's craved? He believes in finding love on the series and hopes it is his time now," the press statement reads.

While the long-running dating reality show will not air until early 2017, several spoilers were already released online.

According to the persistent reality show tipster Reality Steve, Nick already picked the women who he accompanied to hometown dates for "The Bachelor" season 21. One of them is Rachel Lindsay, the very first African-American woman on the series. The 31-year-old lawyer from Dallas, Texas is also rumored to be the first woman who will receive Nick's first impression rose this season.

The other woman who will join Nick in another hometown date is the Howie, Arkansas native named Raven Gates. However, the name of the two other hometown date recipients remains a mystery.

Other reports claimed that among all the women who will vie for Nick's attention this season, only Elizabeth Sandoz had the chance to meet the new Bachelor in the past.

According to reports, Elizabeth hooked up with Nick during a wedding before. However, there are no words yet if their past together will work for Elizabeth's advantage.
