Kaitlyn Bristowe's ex flame Ben Higgins is officially the new bachelor for 2016. After Higgins has been confirmed as the next season's bachelor, several fans have reportedly lined up to join the dating series.

Show host Chris Harrison even revealed that he had received tons of messages coming from women aspiring to be part of the show and getting the chance to date Higgins.

In an interview with Buddy TV, the host also said that not only fans have expressed the desire to join the show, but former contestants as well.

Since hundreds of fan mail have been sent out, Harrison said that Higgins was definitely the most appropriate pick for "The Bachelor" 2016.

Higgins being part of the next season does not seem to be a big surprise because Harrison described him as "ruggedly handsome" and a favorite of many. He even went on to say that Higgins is a kind-hearted person.

As for the contestants, the show host didn't reveal any details on the subject, but former contestants have already publicized their admiration for Higgins.

For instance, Becca Tilley admitted she'd always liked Higgins and even took to Twitter to express her feelings.

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Tilley stated in her Twitter that Higgins is exactly the kind of man that "most 26 yr old virgins," including herself, are after.

Tilley is rumored to appear on the next season and it seems that she's not alone. Rumor has it that Tenley Molzahn, who's currently in "Bachelor in Paradise" will also join "The Bachelor" 2016.

Reports also stated that Molzahn is also into Higgins and the two even went out on a few dates. However, they reportedly didn't take things further when Higgins was picked to appear for the next season.
