The most anticipated Model X SUV from Tesla is coming to dealerships with a specific date. According to CEO Elon Musk who announced on Twitter, the SUV series will be arriving to California on Sept. 29, as reported by USA Today.

The first batch for Model X will be sold on the said date and customers who pre-ordered will meet their cars at Telsa's Fremont, California factory.

According to CNBC, the so-called Signature series of the Model X will be distributed first and standard models will follow.

Meanwhile, customers who ordered Model X has the chance to start playing with the design of their vehicle at a Tesla Motor Club forum.

Based on the postings, a Signature model could amount to $132,000 or even $143,750 if a customer gets the fully loaded version.

But this doesn't mean that the base model comes cheap, because reports indicate that it will be even more expensive compared to the Model S sedan.

All versions of Tesla Model X will have the falcon rear doors, and the car will be capable of accommodating seven people.

It will also feature a proximity alert system to prevent any vehicle from coming too close to other vehicles on the road.

Model X is powered by a 90 kWh battery and can shift from zero to 60 miles in just 3.8 seconds. But for those who want to opt for the Ludicrous Speed Upgrade and cut the vehicle speed by 0.6 seconds less, they can simply shell out $10,000 more.

Meanwhile, the cheaper models of the SUV will be priced around $75,000, a price similar to Model S base model.

Tesla Model X was first introduced over three years ago and it immediately started taking pre-orders. After unveiling the SUV, Tesla announced that deliveries should start this September.

Along with the news of the arrival of Model X SUV is the company's focus on a more affordable lineup known as Model 3, according to reports, it will be introduced by 2017.
