'Tekken 7' news: Miguel to join the popular fighting game's roster

'Tekken 7: Fated Retribution' Bandai Namco

The hit fighting game "Tekken 7" fuels the hype of fans more with each update, and right now, it seems that another fighter has been added to its roster. Bandai Namco has recently confirmed that Miguel Caballero Rojo will be joining the fight as one of the new playable characters in the seventh title in the franchise.

Game Spot featured the new trailer for the character, and according to their report, it quickly shows his backstory. Miguel's storyline is one of the most perfect examples of the "Tekken" series' on-going theme of vengeance and redemption. After all, he lost his most beloved sister in one of the airstrikes ordered by the Mishima Zaibatsu, and ever since then his desire to wreak retribution against the Mishima clan has consumed his life.

He has an unrelenting passion for vengeance, and coupled with his heavy-handed fighting style, he can deliver devastating blows against any opponent when used right by a skilled player. After his sister's loss, Miguel can be seen to go all-out on the offensive, pounding his opponents to submission while mocking them by eating some fruit casually. He even went so far as to show his disregard for common courtesy by throwing the half-eaten fruit to the ground.

According to Game N Guide, Miguel was first introduced in "Tekken 6." He was first announced during the Barcelona Games World Event, and he was shown as the rebel with a just cause. His character comes with new abilities that will surely thrill players.

However, with his reveal, it could then be possible that other characters from within the same generation of the storyline can reappear in "Tekken 7."

Among these include some of the confirmed characters such as Leo, Lars, Alisa, and Bob. These characters are the newest in the game's storyline, and most players find it exciting that they were able to make it to the series' seventh title.
